Something Like Fate tells the story of two lifelong best friends, Lani and Erin, who are both obsessed with learning about fate. But when Lani and Erin's boyfriend start sharing a seemingly deeper bond than the one between Erin and her boyfriend, how can Lani stay faithful to them both without ignoring her own feelings? When Erin and Jason break up during the summer and Lani starts secretly seeing Jason, she must ultimately choose between being with her soul mate or staying faithful to her best friend.
This book was awesome and very real. The dialogue is believable and at times had me laughing so hard that I nearly cried. I like how it deals with a situation that has probably happened, or will happen at some point, to many teen girls - liking your best friend's boyfriend and not knowing what to do about it. I loved the bond between Jason and Lani and was on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what would happen. I was satisfied with the ending, which is very important to me in a book. Something Like Fate is a great book that almost any teenage girl could enjoy.
