In Kate Kingsley's Pretty on the Outside (Young, Loaded, and Fabulous), Alice and Tally are used to getting what they want, when they want it. They are the most popular girls at St. Cecilia's, a private British boarding school for young and privileged girls. They are the envy of every girl in school and are ready to rule the school once again after coming back from their summer break. Tally develops a forbidden crush and Alice has her eyes set on finally becoming her best friend's, Tristan's girlfriend. Trouble arises when Dylan, Tristan's summer fling from New York City, starts attending St. Cecilia's. Alice and Dylan will engage in an all out war for Tristan involving the entire school. Who will win Tristan's heart?
If you love Gossip Girl, then you will also love Kate Kingsley's Pretty on the Outside (Young, Loaded, and Fabulous), which is the perfect book to read when you want fun and carefree entertainment. The book is filled with characters that you will love, hate, and love and hate all at the same time. Although the plot and some of the characters seemed a bit shallow at first, the further you read the more the story and characters develop and grab your attention. Pretty on the Outside (Young, Loaded, and Fabulous) ended with the most surprising and completely unexpected twist in a book that I have ever read and will leave the reader wanting more. I definitely liked this book and recommend it to anyone who wants a fun read.
