Hot, young, British film star Amanda Delany had the world at her feet. never one for the quiet life, she had a sting of affairs with famous actors, making perfect fodder for tabloids. Then came a commission to write a tell-all memoir. When Amanda is found brutally murdered, the suspects line up-from jealous ex roommates to famous lovers, to a corrupt agent. As James Langton leads his team in an extensive inquiry, they discover the sad truth behind Amanda's success. Meanwhile, Anna Travis is up for promotion but her boss is blocking her with an accusation of professional misconduct. The latest case, her toughest challenge so far, could make or break Anna's career.
I was thrilled when I got this book. I am one of those people who absolutely love CSI type books. The first chapter immediately threw me into the murder. I was so captivated that i felt like i was there trying to solve the murder. I really felt bad for Amanda just because of all that she has gone through. It really makes you think twice before judging someone based on their job or outside appearance. Anna Travis did get annoying at times, almost like she whined all the time, but at the same time you felt for her. As you put the pieces together in this mystery, you truly uncover a great secret. I would recommend this book to anyone interest in the CSI crime scene shows, or just like Mystery in general.
