Kiss of Death
By: Lauren Henderson

Scarlett is on a trip with her classmates visiting tourist sites, watching boys in kilts perform--it's all a part of their experience. While on her trip, they happen to run into some people that they weren't expecting. There was Callum, the boy who died in the first book's brother, who happens to be musically gifted and easy on the eye. There's her old classmates, including her former best friends, who she originally ditched for the popular girls. Now they look like they hate her. As her accidents increase, Scarlett realizes that somebody is out to get her. Pushed down stairs, being arranged to have accidents, and a shadowy figure watching her have her worried. One near-death experience after another have her on edge. Soon, she finds motives in everybody. Will Scarlett ever be safe?

This pulse-pounding, wonderfully written story of friendship, romance, and attempted murder will have your head spinning. I know that I loved it, and I'm NOT ready to give Scarlett up. I love Scarlett's character; she turns everything into a treat. She really managed to come through in her romantic ventures and adorable, hilarious friendship with Taylor, while also nervous about the danger she was in. She could be reckless, and was great to read about. I hadn't read any of the previous books of this series, but I understood what was going on. Henderson clearly conveyed a sense of what happened in the previous books while not making it feel like a summary. She surprisingly gave away no spoilers to the previous books! I can't wait to read them. Everything in this book was to die for (literally)! If you're ever looking for a great read, look no further! Kiss of Death is the best mystery that I have read in a long time.
