Hi! If you didn't see my post on the Introducing forum, I'm Beth, and I'm a former BookDiva. I'm trying to get back into the forum now that I've graduated college and have a bit more time on my hands.. I just finished the Shopaholic Series, and before that, I finished Nicholas Sparks' most recent, The Last Song. I've read all of his books, and have loved each one a bit more than the last. I'm not sure where to go from here, although I do like reading series books. I'm a romantic at heart, and much to the dismay of my 15 year old sister, I'm not interested in the Twilight series. I'm in my early-almost-mid-20's (lol) so I'm not into the whole Teen Scene anymore.. Any suggestions?

Hi I'm Jessica, an intern at Book Divas. I actually just finished reading The Help by Kathryn Stockett. It's a really amazing book about maids in the South in the 1960s that deals with racism and the rigidness of that society. I would definetely recommend it.

Hi there!
What was your SN before you changed it? Maybe I might know you. :P

Lol, I totally understand you about your taste in books. I have a HUGE list of books that I have read and just DYING to go and buy. I just finished reading a book by Stephen Fry called Revenge. It's like a witty take on of the Count of Monte Cristo.
All the Roma Sub Rosa books by Steven Saylor (books that have to do with ancient Rome. Not as stuffy as it's sounds, it's witty and they usually have alot of twists and turns!)

Madras on rainy days - Is a MUST read. It talks about a muslim indian young woman who is going back to india to get married, while her body is in the middle of miscarrying from her forbidden affair that she had before she left. Very deep, very real, VERY eye opening novel. It's by Samina Ali. I strongly suggest you read it.

Stolen from Gypsies - Very funny book. Kinda Hunchback of Notre Dame, Robin Hoodesqe. Hilarious.

Fool - Christopher Moore (very funny take on of king Leer!)

The Angels Game - Carlos Ruiz Zafron (talks about a writer in spain during the 30's who moves in to this house that has all these weird secrets and ghosts. LOVE the twists in that book. You start out thinking you know, but by the end the author has you totally on the other side of the universe!)

Book Of Night Women - Marlon James. Talks about Jamaica in the early 1800's and a baby slave girl who was born with green eyes, which the other slaves believes holds certain power. When she gets older she tries to find her own place in the house of the Master, but the other slaves would like her to help them lead a rebellion. Wasn't as dense as I thought it would be. Again, things happened in that book that I did NOT expect.

Aztec Fire and Aztec Rage by Robert Gleason and Junis Podrug. Funny, loads of adventure, eye opening. A good easy read.

I have tons and tons and tons and tons more. My fingers don't have the energy. :P

Well, my sister read the Kissed By An Angel trilogy by Elizabeth Chandler. My sister is 19 but is much more mature then the everyday 19 year old (no offense to anyone that's 19). She loved that trilogy and she got me to read it, too. That trilogy is what got me into my writing. I loved that trilogy and everything else by her. Here is a quick book review.

In Kissed By An Angel, a teenage girl named Ivy met the guy of her dreams, Tristan. But when Tristan dies, Ivy loses her faith in angels. When Tristan comes back as an angel, he has to figure out why. He finds out that when someone comes back as an angel, they have a mission to complete. He soon figures out what his mission is.

In The Power Of Love, Tristan must get Ivy to believe in angels again so he can save her life from one of the most beloved people in her life, because that person is trying to kill her. Can he get her to belive in time, or will she die before he gets the chance?

In Soulmates, Targeted by the same person who murdered Tristan, Ivy finally learns that Tristan is her gaurdian angel and works with him to prevent her own death. But when Ivy feels his love again, Tristan must let her go.

It's an amazing trilogy and I really think you'll like it too. I'm going to college for producing arts mainly so I can make this into a movie before anyone else demolishes it. L  L!
